William Lee Drummond, 89, of Ironton passed away Tuesday (July 4, 2006) at a local health center. He was born June 29, 1917 in Waterloo, Ohio; the son of the late Fred Ray and Anna Null Drummond.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Almeda Daulton and Irene Roberts; two brothers: Robert Drummond and Cecil Drummond

He retired in 1979 as a moulder for the Dayton Malleable Iron Co with 31 yrs service. He graduated from Waterloo High School in 1937 and is the last surviving member of the Waterloo Wonders basketball team of 1934, 1935, and 1936.He is a member of the Faith United Nazarene Church in Ironton and sang gospel music for many years as a member of The Oakland Quartet.He was a farmer and also a grader operator for Mason Township and a member of the United
Commercial Travelers for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Marie Reed Drummond; two sons: Edgar Eugene Drummond of Gainesville, Fla. and Orlyn Arnold Drummond of Ironton. One daughter and son-in-law: Bertha Mae and Ronny Miller of Willow Wood, Ohio; a foster son and his wife: Robert and Jennifer
Miller of Galloway, Ohio. 9 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was at Faith United Nazarene Church Ironton with Rev. Herman George officiating. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens South Point
