PADUCAH: Billy Joe Martin of Lubbock, died Saturday in a car-pedestrian accident in Lubbock.
Grave site services will be at 11:a.m. today in Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith, pastor of First Baptish Church officiating. Arrangments are by Seigler Funeral Home.
Mr. Martine was born in Puducah and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son Jimmy Joe of California; a daughter, Janice Yvonne Martin of California; his mother Nevada Carpenter of Paducah; two bothers Ray and Wayne, both of Paducah and two sisters, Mary Spurgeon of Fort Worth and Vivian Rogers of Jacksonville, N.C.
Although the Obit mentions Billy Joe was a Veteran of World War II, he must have been a veteran of the Korean War, he would have only been 14 at the end of World War II.
