Douglas McGray

Douglas C. McGray, 97, of San Luis Obispo died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1991, at a San Luis Obispo hospital.

Services will be held a 2 p.m. today at Zion Lutheran Church in San Luis Obispo.

Mr. McGray was born Oct. 4, 1894, in Nova Scotia. He moved to Taft in 1922, to Long Beach the following year, and then to Santa Paula in 1950. He has been a resident of San Luis Obispo for 31 years.

He retired from Texaco after 37 years and then worked for McGray Construction for seven years.

He loved fishing and was an avid pool player.

Mr. McGray is survived by a brother, Ralph N. McGray of Santa Maria; a nephew Bruce A. McGray of Santa Maria; a stepdaughter, Carroll Everett of Los Altos; seven nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Olive McGray in 1977, and by his second wife, Irene McGray, in 1988.

Arrangements are by Reis Chapel in San Luis Obispo.
