Vesta Lou (Bradley) Rhodes passed away on Thursday, February 8th at Baylor Hospital in Grapevine, Texas. Mrs. Rhodes was born in Phoenix, Arizona on April 4, 1922 and spent most of her childhood and high school years in Prescott, Arizona but had been living in Texas with her daughter for the past year and a half. Her parents, Herschel & Eva Bradley, formerly of Prescott had two daughters, Vesta and Mary. Mary lives in North Carolina surrounded by her family of two daughters and a son and their families. Vesta married her high school sweetheart, Ceburn Donald Rhodes in July of 1943 and were married until his death in 1994. During their fifty-one years of marriage, Don and Vesta lived in Arizona and Southern California before returning to Phoenix in 1979. Mrs. Rhodes leaves a daughter, Kathleen living in Keller, Texas and a son Don who lives in Flagstaff, Arizona and a grandson Benjamin and great-grandson, Kinamee. Vesta enjoyed attending Prescott High School Reunions and most of her friends today were her friends in school. While living in Prescott, Vesta was a member of Eastern Star and participated in the Smoki Ceremonials. She will be missed by many close friends and her family. A memorial service will be held at Fort Rosecrans Veterans Cemetary in San Diego, California.
