Samuel Russell (Raymond) CROWDER was the son of Jonathan Newman CROWDER (b 1855 d 1922) and Anna Viola TIBBITS (b 1862 d __). Samuel had two brothers and two sisters: Arthur Wray; Charles Bedford; Joice Bell; and Zella Mazo. Samuel first married Bessie Mae PROCTOR of Canyon City, CO on 23 Sep 1910. They had four children: Velma ("Mickey" "Thelma"); Ruth Naomi; Dorothy Mae; and Morice Darrell. Samuel married second to Doris ____ (FAG Memorial#72478076). Samuel registered for the drafts for WW I and WW II, but did not serve. Samuel had his own bakery in Pasadena, CA and later moved to Washington where he was self-employed as a farmer.
