She was born to the late William and Harriet Cade Distel. She was a member of the West Portsmouth Nazerene Church from its inception, an employee of the former Selby Shoe Co, and a retired cook from the Portsmouth West School District. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harrison Redoutey, She is survived by 6 daughters Virgina (William) Burton,Joann (Eugene) Staggs, Ruth (the late David) Jarvis, Phyllis (Ralph) Blakeman all of West Portsmouth, Linda (Bill) Bentley of South Shore,KY., and Rita Thoroughman of Portsmouth; 2 Sons Robert(Josephine)Redoutey of Portsmouth and Carl Redoutey of West Portsmouth; and a son-in-law Franklin Morgan; 23 Grandchildren 25 Great GrandChildren and several Great Great Grand children. She was preceded in death by a daughter Alberta Morgan; and a Son, George Redoutey, Grandma was loved by all her Children and Grandchildren.Her funeral service was held Friday 12/27/02, at the Roger W. Davis funeral home in West Portsmouth, with the Rev Don Madden officiating.
