Annalea Effie Reed was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 28, 1920. She was surrounded by family when she passed away at her home in the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home on January 28, 2011, at the age of 90.
Annalea served our country in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps from December 19, 1942 through August 14, 1943. Serrgeant Annalea Givens and Aviation Cadet Stanley Reed were married in July of 1943. She was also one of the first police women in Riverdale, Maryland in 1954.
Annalea was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and her parents, Edna and Sidney Givens.
