OBITUARY

Regina Strout, age 74, a resident of Monmouth, died Friday morning, October 8, 2004 at Nicholson's Long-term Care and Rehabilitation Center in Winthrop, Maine where she had resided since October 1, 2003. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 21, 1929, the daughter of Charles H. and Regina (Arsenault) Roberts, Jr. She graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine in 1947. On December 30, 1954 she married Lloyd E. Strout, Sr. in Auburn, Maine they made their home and raised their family in Monmouth; he passed away, June 9, 1989. Regina worked at Carlton Woolen Mill in Winthrop, Maine until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed reading and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, Bruce Pelkey and his wife Linda of Litchfield; John "Jack" Pelkey of Fargo, North Dakota; Lloyd E. Strout, Jr. of Monmouth; four daughters, Betty Jane Nason and her husband George of Fayette; Darlene Cripps and her husband David of North Monmouth; Linda Smith and her husband Harold of Monmouth and Bonita Girardin and her husband Richard of South Monmouth; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Hinkley of Auburn; Jane Cote of New Gloucester; Arlene Hiscock of Auburn and Pat Bissonette of Lewiston and her brother Richard Roberts of Lewiston.
