Cecil Conard Babb was the son of Rufus and Minnie Babb. He had a brother named Edgar Babb, and a sister, Hester Babb Julian.
Cecil was first married to Pearl Inez Gass Babb who died after many years of marriage from complications of diabetes; there were no children. They worked hard on a farm they owned in Chuckey, Tennessee. Dairy cows and tobacco kept them working sunup to sundown, along with all the routine gardening, canning, and other farm work. But they always made time to pray and go to church.
His second wife, Nancy Kelton Babb, also preceded him in death. There were no natural children from that union, but many step children and grandchildren.
Cecil was a retired farmer and retired from the former Sam Moore Chair Company.
At 74, Cecil Babb left a legacy of hard work and lots of love and laughter.
