Achziger, Gloria Ann, 66, a 45-year resident of Huntington Beach, passed away on December 29, 2006 at home with her family around her, after a courageous 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Greenville, Texas. Her family was her greatest joy. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by husband of 47 years, Bob; son, Jon (Laura); daughter, Sara; 2 grandchildren, Jana and Jon Curtis; her mother, Effie Henrique, and sister, Jean Long. She was preceded in death by grandson, Robert Jon. Ann was a long-time member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at the Lutheran Church, 9812 Hamilton Avenue, Huntington Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's name to the Lutheran Church shown above.
