Betty Jane (Massman) Berleen, daughter of Ernst and Bessie Massman, was born Feb 11, 1925 in Los Angeles and died at home May 4, 2011 in Mission Viejo. She graduated from Washington H. S. Jan 1943. Betty was united in marriage to William "Bill" Floyd Berleen Dec 6, 1944 in Los Angeles and were together until his death March 15, 2001 in Canyon Lake.
Betty and Bill lived their married life in California with a summer home in South Dakota. In all of their homes family and friends were always welcome, never having to call first.
She retired from Hughes Aircraft Company GSG Fullerton in June 24, 1984 where she had worked since Apr 1960 as an Exec Secy and then Finance & New Bus Supv.
Betty was Honored Queen, Int'l Order of Job's Daughters, Bethel 34 (1938-1943). As well as being involved in Delta Chi Sigma, Alpha Xi Chapter (VP, Secy & Treas, member (1 of 3) for Int'l Charity Committee, and L.A. Boat & Ski Club, and O.E.S. Menifee Valley Chapter #243, Menifee Valley Masonic Center in Sun City. She was also busy in her children's Anaheim school as Clara Barton Elementary Schools PTA Charter Pres.
She leaves behind 2 children, 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren, Sister in Waco, TX and two Sister-in-laws in Rancho Murieta, CA & Story City, IA. Also an adopted (name only) grandson and his 3 children.
