Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hill Beamer, age 102 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday at the Woltz Hospice Home. Born in Surry County, to James Everett and Priscilla Beasley Hill.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Beamer was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was retired from Renfro Corp.
Surviving is a daughter. Rachel Ramey of Winston-Salem; a son Woodrow (Mary Ruth) Beamer of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Sheila Kegley, Johnny Ray Beamer and Melissa Creed; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Myrtle Wagoner of Mt. Airy.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beamer was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Beamer; a granddaughter, Kathy Simpson; three sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
