Virginia Louise Henderson , formerly from Lake of the Woods, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009, age 87.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Flaig of Fairfax Station; her son Scott E. Henderson of Carlisle, Mass; brother and sister-in- law Donald and Lee Meyer of Ann Arbor, Much.; sister-in-law Elma Henderson of Stockton, Calif; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Henderson was an elementary school teacher and a school Liberian. She served on the Orange County library board and was instrumental in obtaining funding for construction of the Wildness Branch Library.
Interment will be private and for family only at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Donation may be made by the LOW Fire and Rescue, 104 Lakeview Parkway, Locust Grove, Va. 22508.
