Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Donald Alford, 85, were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 1981, from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton. The Rev. Curtis McGee officiated. Interment was made in the Hodge Hill Cemetery in Rankin County.
Mrs. Alford died Tuesday morning [April 28] at the Hinds General Hospital. She was a resident of Morton most of her life and was a member of the Forkville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two grandsons, Walter E. (Shorty) Alford, Morton, and William (Ratsy) Blissett, Morton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Clifton Alford, Billy Frank Alford, Bernard Alford, Ernest Thompson, James Donald, and J.S. Alford.
