DOUB PFAFFTOWN ~ Frank "Pop" Doub Aug. 10, 1933 ~ May 26, 2011 On Thursday, May 26, 2011, Frank (Pop) Doub passed away at his home. He was born to John Fletcher and Alma Tate Doub on August 10, 1933 into a family of 10 children. Pop's working career started at a young age helping farmers in the Pfafftown area. At 14, he started working for Leinbach Machinery driving a truck and demonstrating farm equipment at state fairs all over the midwestern states. While he was in the U.S. Army in 1953, he married Wynoka (Nokie) Josey. He then started a long career as a machinist for RJR that lasted for 32 years. After retiring in 1989, he continued working on cars and equipment in his shop behind his house. He loved hunting, being with his grandsons, and working on projects other people said couldn't be done. He was a member of the Oldtown Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by first wife, Wynoka; sisters, Jesse Flynn, Nell Moore, Mary Samuels, Ruth Goins, Pat Douglas; brothers, Arlis Ray (Toby) and Jerry. His immediate survivors are his wife, Novella; son, Tim and wife, Susan of Fall Creek, NC; grandsons, Joshua, Caleb, Elijah; brother, Jack Doub and sister, Johnnie Bailey, both of Mocksville, NC; step-daughter, Sandra H. Rice and husband, Tommy of Salisbury, NC; Lisa W. Shuler and husband, Randy of Salisbury, NC; Bobbie W. Macaione of Advance, NC; stepson, Bobby B. Addington and wife, Debbie of Stanley, NC; and numerous step-grandchildren. Friends may visit on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel with interment to follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
