She was a homemaker, well read, an avid gardener whose hobbies included pottery and reading. She was a devout Christian and a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church.
Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, Lieutenant Nettles.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Nettles, Diane Nettles and Linda Lacey (Darrell); and granddaughter, Vanessa Morris.
Her funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at Highlands.
