HOLDEN - Richard W. Ball, 59, of Dennisport, formerly of Holden, died Friday, October 13, 2006 in Cape Cod Hospital.

He leaves a sister, Margaret A. Weber of Marlborough, Conn.; four brothers, Donald A. Ball of Worcester, Thomas J. Ball, Timothy E. Ball and Kenneth D. Ball, all of Holden; several nephews and nieces. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and SMU in Dartmouth. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served three tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Ball moved to Cape Cod after his military service and worked in maintenance at the Three Seasons Motor Lodge in Dennisport. He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Hyannis.

The funeral was October 18, in the Miles Funeral Home (www.milesfuneralhome.com), 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a committal service and military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts, Remillard Building, 200 Century Drive, Worcester, MA 01606.
