She was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Pennsboro, a daughter of the late Martin L Mossor and Rosella Meredith (Bennett) Mossor. She was a homemaker and worked for Myles Manufacturing and VanScoy's Market, Pennsboro. She was also a foster grandparent at Creed Collins Elementary and a member of Bond's Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Roy L. Reed and wife Caryl of Reedsville, OH, and John R. Reed and wife Dixie of Pennsboro; a daughter, Jeanie Leeson and husband Jim of Vienna, WV; a brother, Don Mossor of Pennsboro; three sisters, Naomi Cunningham of Pennsboro, Emogene Blanton of Belpre, OH, and Maxine Lewis of Ellenboro, WV; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband of 71 years, Francis L. Reed, in 2009; a son, Lewis Reed Jr.; brothers, Teddy and Carl Mossor; and a granddaughter, Debbie Leeson.
Services were held Thursdfay, April 14th, at McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with Pastor Martin L. "Bud" Corbin officiating. Interment followed at Mount Harmony Cemetery, Pennsboro.
