His obituary read:
"Elias S. BECK, fifty-three, 472 Atlantic Avenue, died at 3 A.M. Thursday at his home of a complication of deceases after an illness of two years. He was born in Leacock township a son of Israel BECK and the late Alice Stouder BECK, and was a member of the Vine Street Mennonite mission. He is survived by his father, his wife who was Ruth A. Fehr before marriage and these children; Helen wife of William Preperato, Alice wife of Ira Hawke, Harold, all of this city; Henry, James, Carl, Ammon, Minnie, Dorothy, Joseph, Frances and Harold, all at home also a brother Henry of New York City.
Services will be held at the Vine Street mission Monday afternoon at 2 O:clock and interment will be in Erisman's Mennonite cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors of Fred F. Groff Inc. 234 West Orange Street,
Sunday evening from 7 to 9 O:clock. "
