Annie was the daughter of Columbia bakery owners, George Ennis (Enos) and Anna Bettencourt Silva Ennis. Her father and mother were both born in Sao Jorge, Azores Islands, Portugal. They owned Ennis Brothers Bakery in Columbia.

Annie suffered for ten months from tuberculosis of the lungs, which lead to her untimely death. She had been taken to Strawberry, located at a high elevation where the pure air could hopefully help her. It was not to be, and she passed away only four days after her arrival in Strawberry.

Annie was the sister of Antone, George, Frank J., Joseph E., Lucas, Jennie and Mary. She was the first cousin of John, Antone, Leonora and Domingo Azevedo and Mary Azevedo Souza, who are buried nearby. She was the niece of Joseph and Mary K. Azevedo who are buried nearby.

She was the aunt of A. J. De Almeida, the baby of her sister, Mary. That baby is buried in this cemetery, and perhaps another baby of Mary, since she lost two by the 1910 census.
