Edna Lorrine King Talton, 60, of Lancaster, passed away in her home on Saturday, July 02, 2011.

Born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Campbell and Laura Edna Louise Monroe King of Sheffield, Alabama

Edna had worked as a Legal Secretary in City Hall of Jersey City, New Jersey, was a Waitress and Cashier for Lucill's Grill, Sheffield, a Telephone Operator for Bell of New York, and a Shoe Repairer in Atlanta, Georgia.

She was a member of Bright Side Baptist Church.

Edna was a member of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World, Lancaster.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of thirteen years: Earnest; her daughters: Valarie Lynette, wife of Eugene Carter of Lancaster and Angela Monique, wife of Michael Huff of Huntsville, Alabama; her son: Thomas Orlando husband of Michelle King of Lancaster; her twenty grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her mother: Laura; her sisters: Sadie King of Florence, Aalabama, Liz King of Huntsville, Alabama, Rose King of Sheffield, Alabama, and Alene wife of Walter Jackson of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and, her brothers: Bobby King of Sheffield, Alabama, Curtis King of Detroit, Michigan, Percy King of Newark, New Jersey, and Edward husband of Janice King of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

The family will receive friends in Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster on Friday, July 08, 2011 from 11:00 AM - 01:00 PM. Life Celebration Service will begin at 01:00 PM with Pastor Louis A. Butcher, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 12:00 PM.
