Forrester, Dorothy E. "Dot" (High Point)

Dorothy E. Forrester "Dot," 88, of High Point, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at her residence.

She was a lifelong resident of Walker County where she was a charter member of the Salem Road Baptist Church. She was presently a member of the Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene. She had been employed with Yates Bleachery Company and the Rossville Community Center.

She was greatly loved by her brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren whom she helped raise starting at a young age.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Stephen Forrester; two brothers, Ralph Williams and Thomas E. Williams; sister, Florence Elizabeth Williams; and daughter-in-law, Sue Forrester.

She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve Forrester of Cloudland, GA, LeVaughn and Pat Forrester of Lafayette, and Doug and Cris Forrester of Ooltewah, TN; two brothers, Ernest Williams of Seattle, WA and Bill Williams of Slygo; sister, Mildred Gilley of High Point; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Chuck Carver officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
