J. Zielsdorf Funeral to Be Held Thursday
Death on Monday Follows Long Illness
The funeral of Julius F. Zielsdorf, 78, well known Watertown resident, who died Monday morning at his home, 329 North Warren street, after a long illness, will be held Thursday afternoon. Services will be held at 2 o'clock at the Noffs funeral home, the Rev. O. H. Womm, Pasotr of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Zielsdorf was born in Draumberg, Germany, Jan. 26, 1874. amd was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zielsdorf. He came to the United States with his parents July 31, 1878, settling in Waupun. On April 24, 1904, he was married to Tillie Ollermann, the ceremony taking place in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun.
He had been a resident of Watertown for the past 48 years. An employee of the Ira L. Henry Co. for more than 40 years, he retired ten years ago due to ill health.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Laurence and Arthur, both of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Wege, route 7, Watertown, and Mrs. Gilber Pieper, Milwaukee; four grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother August Zielsdorf, this city; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Schlueter, this city, and Mrs. Louise Moore, Waupun.
A brother, Oscar Zielsdorf, Waupun, preceded him in death a week ago. Two other brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
In state at the Noffs Funeral Home beginning Wednesday afternoon and up until the time of the service Thursday afternoon.
