Thatcher Kimball was born in 1883. He died in 1956 and is buried at Mount McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay, Idaho.

Thatcher Kimball Dies in Idaho
A former Star Valley resident, Thatcher Kimball, 73, died of a lingering illness October 1 at Mackay, Idaho. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Mackay LDS Chapel.
The son of David P. and Caroline Williams Kimball, he was born Aug 30, 1883 at St. David, Arizona.
He lived at Soda Springs, Idaho and Logan, Utah before moving to Thayne in 1892 where his mother and family homesteaded a large tract of land. At age 22, he went back to St. David to live with a brother, and was called to fulfill an LDS mission in Kentucky.
In 1911 he married Mamie Melton and to this union two daughters were born, one of whom preceded him in death.
After returning from the mission, he engaged in the sheep business, which he had learned early in life, and went to work for the Covey-Blaney Livestock Co. at Afton and eventually became a partner in the business. He also engaged in the harness business in Afton.
In 1924 he moved to Arco, Idaho and purchased a ranch were he continued his cattle and sheep business. He was married to Adeline Luthy March 17, 1930 and two daughters were born to this union.
He is survived by his widow, three daughters, one step-daughter, two brothers, one sister and 12 grandchildren. Interment was in the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery.
