David L. "Bix" Bixler, 55, Exeter Township, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Leo Bixler and Geraldine (Willis) Bixler. "Bix" was a drywall mechanic for Morris Construction for 35 years. He was a member of the NRA and the Oley Valley Fish & Game. He grew up in Shillington. He will be missed by his family and dogs, Zoe and Bubba.
Those who plan on attending the services and have a motorcycle (pending weather) please ride them in memory of "Bix". In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, a daughter, grandchildren, a brother, and a sister. Viewing will be at Lutz Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Penn, on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., with services following at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
