On June 25, 1955, Jean and William Buck were married. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1997.
Jean was the secretary at St. Matthew Grade School for many years and then was employed by Family Service and Guidance Center. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her two daughters, Debbie McClure (Bob) and Pam Patton; grandchildren, Ryan, Danielle, Chris, Rachel and Austin; seven great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Hank, Dick, Pete, Jim and Don Bachmeier.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.
