Larris Hugh Hodges, age 66 of Austell, passed away July 22, 2010. Larris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Austell. He retired from Atlanta Newspapers, Inc. He loved to hunt and fish and was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. But Larris enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren.

Larris was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Merle Hodges and sister, Gloria Buckner.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Retta Andrews Hodges; daughters & sons-in-law, Kimberly & Clark Eubanks, and Andrea & Chris Buck, all of Dallas; grandchildren, Katie, Mackenzie, & Wyatt Eubanks, and Cayden Buck; sister, Betty Holcomb, & brother, Hernon Hodges, both of Columbus; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Chris Humphries and Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus on Monday at 11:00 AM. Flowers are accepted or memorials to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 4780 Flint Hill Rd, Austell, GA 30106.
