Son of William Andrews and Hannah Maria Bartholomew. He was christened in St. Peter's Church, Liverpool, Lancashire, England on 7 May 1846. William married Eliza Jane Manley about 1871 in Chicago. His burial took place on 10 Feb 1923.

Death notice appeared in the Chicago Daily Tribune on 9 Feb 1923:

"ANDREWS -- William Henry Andrews, Feb. 8, 1923, dearly beloved husband of Eliza Jane and father of Charlotte J. Hall and Mildred A. Wright. Funeral services at the residence of Mrs. W. B. Hall, 6737 Oglesby-av., Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment Oakwoods."
