Aubrey ‘Owlhead' Mason Shrader, 74, of Box 123, Freeman, died Monday, February 17, 1986 in a Princeton hospital.
Born April 12, 1911 at Freeman, he was a son of the late Isaiah Welch and Flora Bell Shrader.
He had lived in Freeman all his life and was a retired miner from United Pocahontas Coal Co., Algoma.
He was a member of the UMWA and the Bramwell United Methodist Church.
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Lillian Helmandollar Shrader; son, Steve Shrader of Bluefield; daughter, Barbara Letcher of Brandywine, Md., Martha Perez of Lima, Peru; brothers, Fred Shrader of Freeman, Grayson Shrader of Bramwell, Cecil Shrader of Miami, Fl., James Shrader of Princeton; sisters, Mary Ruth Woods of Beckley, Dorothy May of Silver Springs, Md., Julie Cole of Charleston; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell with the Rev. Ray Conrad officiating and burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
