HATTIESBURG - Virginia Yelverton Gibbs, 88, a retired butcher, died of heart failure Monday at Adventist Health Center in Lumberton.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with burial in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gibbs was a Louisville, Miss., native and had lived most of her life in Jackson. She had worked 32 years at Jitney Jungle Grocery Stores in the meat department.
Survivors include: daughter, Joyce Maxine Morris of Baytown, Texas; and six grandchildren and 1 3 great-grandchildren.
