Abraham "Jack" Baldridge, 71, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 while surrounded by his children at Bristol Wellmont Hospice House.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Z. Baldridge.

Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kim Baldridge of Baltimore, Md., Donald and Ellen Baldridge of Durham, N.C., Terry Baldridge of York, Pa., Gerald and Tabitha Baldridge of Las Vegas, Nev., and Thomas and Marie Baldridge of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlita and the Rev. Jimmy Taylor and Terressa and Tom Dickerson, all of Saltville; three brothers, Don Baldridge of Ashland, Ky., Frank Baldridge of Inez, Ky., and Francis Baldridge of Mansfield, Ohio; five sisters, Evelyn Moricie of Varney, W.Va., Pauline Shumate and Dixie Baldridge, both of Beckley, W.Va., Flo Brown of Kernersville, N.C., and Samantha Durbin of Ontario, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kyle French officiated the ceremony. Interment followed in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
