Elva June Cool, 79, of 16505 Virginia Ave. in Williamsport, Md., passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md. Born Sunday, June 26, 1927, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Warren Scott Kennedy and Mary Kathryn Maun Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Francis Cool, in 1962. She was employed with the North Hagerstown High School cafeteria, and later retired from Corning Glass in 1992 after 18 years of service. She was a member of Greencastle Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria J. Cramer of Olympia, Wash.; two sons, Terry F. Cool of State Line, Pa., and Randy J. Cool of Hagerstown; two granddaughters, Melissa C. Reed of Greencastle, and Christina L. Cressin of Olympia; four grandsons, Jeffrey L. Cramer of Olympia, Stephen J. Cool of Chambersburg, Pa., Joseph W. Cool of Chambersburg, and Terry F. Cool Jr. of Fredericksburg, Va.; one stepgrandson, James L. Footen of Hagerstown; one stepgranddaughter, Danielle L. Reed of State Line; one great-grandson, Gavin C. Reed of Greencastle; one stepgreat-grandson, Jason A. Reed Jr. of State Line; and one stepgreat-granddaughter, Brittany L. Reed of State Line.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice Hykes, Edna Henicle, Kathryn Cosey and Matilda Kennedy; nine brothers, Walter Kennedy, Ralph Kennedy, Lester Kennedy, Ira Kennedy, Raymond Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy, Orville Kennedy, Warren Kennedy and Olan Kennedy; and one grandson, Matthew Cool.

Services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Martin H. Horn officiating.
Interment will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery, Greencastle.
