Saltcreek Township, Pickaway County, OH Church History & Records: Pickaway County: The meetings of the Tarlton church were held in the log schoolhouse until 1840, when a church edifice was erected. The first preacher, after the formation of the Tarlton Circuit, was Rev. Daniel Poe, who was followed by Rev. Joseph Morris.

Joseph and Elizabeth had 10 children:
Sarah Morris Wissler, Amy Morris Patrick, Pleasant Morris Carmean (my great-great grandmother), Lucretia Morris Minor/Miner, Samuel Morris, Elizabeth Morris Ross, Joseph H. Morris, Mary Ann Morris Ross Widner, Charity Morris Camp and Pheraby Morris Wimer.

By his seond wife, he had a son, Asa Morris.
