The identity of the veteran killed on the G. R. & I. last week has been established, the body being recognized as that of Thomas R. Allen of Ionia.
Allen is a widower, and was last seen at Lake Odessa, where he was visiting his mother. He started for prayer meeting one evening and disappeared. It is supposed that he wandered to this city while suffering from one of the attack of partial insanity, to which he was subject. The body was exhumed yesterday at expense of the Ionia Grand Army Post, and buried in a lot in Valley City cemetery belonging to Custer Post.
