Rebecca "Flo" Orr, 84, formerly of Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at the Caprice Health Care Center in North Lima, Ohio. Rebecca was born on Jan. 6, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Ray and Dorothy Wertz Ackworth.

She moved to the North Lima area in the 1940's. She was a homemaker and was an election poll worker for many years in Northern Beaver Township. She was a member of the Woodworth Church of the Brethren. She was a 30 gallon Red Cross blood donor during her lifetime. She also had been a 30 year Red Cross volunteer at South Side Hospital and Beeghly Medical Center and a charter member of the Woodworth Gardeners.

She was preceded in death on December 18, 1998 by her husband, William J. Orr. They were married May 5, 1941. She is survived by two daughters Jean Cochran and her husband Michael of Columbiana and Betty Ostrowski and her husband Joseph of Austintown, a son, William J. Orr, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Boardman; a sister, Beatrice Etri, of Youngstown and two brothers, William Ackworth, and his wife Dorothy of Youngstown and John Ackworth and his wife Mary Ann of Poland; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio with Rev. Richard D. Speicher officiating. Burial will be in North Lima Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 and one hour prior to the service Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio. Family suggests that material tributes be made to Woodworth Church of the Brethren.
