Obituary:
Edna L. Williams Bellach
Edna L. Williams Bellach passed away March 31, 2001, at Livingston Memorial Hospital. She had enjoyed a beautiful day visiting Three Forks and Willow Creek, calling on her sister, Lanora Peterson, remembering days at Jeffson school, visiting her former home on First Avenue West in Three Forks, remembering the plumbing shop where she and Ed, who were married 61 years before his death in 1991, had supported their five children: Arietta Bellach Morse of Great Falls, Edwin Earl Bellach of Three Forks, Violet Bellach Neiss of Portland, Ore., Edna Bellach Saltenberger of Anaconda, and Helen Bellach Peterson of Livingston.

Mrs. Bellach was born Dec. 16, 1911, to Walter and Vesta "Bessie" Williams in a log cabin that still stands near old Highway 10, a few miles from Sappington. Her younger sisters were Lanora and Esther Bacon.

As a young woman, Edna worked at the Sacajawea Hotel and the Gateway Cafe before her marriage.

She was well known on Main Street in Three Forks, where she and Ed owned a plumbing, electrical, appliance, hardware and sporting goods store. Edna's favorite part of it was her complete line of lovely giftware.

Edna was Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, and a Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow for Girls in Three Forks.

She had 18 grandchildren: Carol, Alan, Dale and Karen Morse of Great Falls; four Bellach children - Jim of Texas, Jody of Colorado, Larry of Washington and Alice of Nevada; three Neiss grandchildren in

Portland, Ore. - Rick, Mark, and Todd; five Saltenberger grandchildren - Terri Lynn of Billings, Jack Jr., Dan and Andy of Anaconda, and Jana Kay of Wyoming; and Shawn Peterson in Helena, and Mistidawn Peterson in Livingston. In addition to her 18 grandchildren, there are 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her daughter, Arietta, and more recently her son, Edwin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Three Forks United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lyle Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Three Forks.
