J.L. Dewey, a resident and business man of Clyde for a great many years, died at his home about 5 o'clock this morning. Mr. Dewey had been in poor health the past year and for the last five weeks had been confined to his home. However, his condition did not become serious until the early part of this week. He was 76 years of age and had been engaged in the grocery business here 43 years. Mr. Dewey was a citizen of the highest type. He is survived by his widow; one sister, Mrs. Maude Coons, of Muncie, Ind; three brothers, E. E. Dewey of Manhattan; Samuel (actually Santford), who lives in California, and Charles, living in Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. W.A. Mitchell in Charge.
