Worcester, March 21--Funeral services for Delmar Wood, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anthony Preston, of Decatur Wednesday, were held from Skinner's funeral home, Friday afternoon at 2. Rev. Wheaten P. Webb of the Methodist church officiated. The body was accompanied by members of the family was taken to Gardner, Mass. for burial Saturday.
Death of Delmer Woods Caused by Leg Infection
Worcester, March 16--Delmer Ernest Woods, who had suffered from an acute infection in the leg for 13 days, died at 2:30 this morning in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anthony Preston of Decatur. Last rites will be observed at the Skinner funeral home Friday at 2, with Rev. Wheaton P. Webb officiating, and burial will be made at Gardner, Mass., where Mr. Woods lived for some time, and where he was employed in a furniture factory.
He was born, October 7, 1870, at Rochester, Vt., a son of Julius Alonzo and Mary Ann (McWain) Woods. His wife, the former Miss Eva Emily Baker, died May 30, 1930. Surviving relatives include the daughter mentioned, another daughter in Ilion, one son in Stamford, and one in California. Mr. Woods was an adherent of the Methodist faith, and a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Stamford.
