Elmer Woods Dies in Binghamton
Elmer Woods, formerly of Cooperstown and Stamford, died Aug. 2, 1958 in Binghamton where he had resided for the past five years. He was 63.
He was born May 19, 1895 at Rochester, Vt., the son of Delmar and Eva Baker Woods. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Preston of Decatur and Mrs. Myrtle McGraw of Ilion and nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Monday at the Skinner funeral home, Worcester. The Rev. Ernest George of the Worcester-Decatur Methodist churches officiated. Burial took place at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Green Bower cemetery, South Gardner, Mass.
