Married Lacy Harris Freeman in 1910.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Lois Blake of Rt. 4, Asheboro, Mrs Mary Presnell and Mrs. Lera Mae Flowers of Asheboro, and Mrs. Colette Skeen of Farmer; sons, Vestal, Willis and Cecil Freeman of Rt. 1, Star and James Freeman of Robbins; sisters, Mrs Laura Kern and Mrs., Alice Kern of Rt. 1, Star.
