Glenn Galloway Caldwell. 102, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 in his home.
He was born in Mansfield, Arkansas to Robert Latt Caldwell and Mary Rebecca Galloway Caldwell on June 2, 1909.

He was a lifelong resident of Sebastian County, member of Goddard United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class for 76 years. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1931 and was a loyal Razorback fan. In 1931 he married Alice Stanford. Throughout the years he was manager of Seaman Store in Ozark, AR, the owner of Caldwell Grocery in Fort Smith and the Divisional Manager of Waddle and Reed Mutual Fund Company he was also a Charter Member of the Civil Air Patrol. At retirement he became a world traveler and was on several bowling leagues and bowled into his 90's. In 1986 he married Dorcie Pogue Dill in Maui, Hawaii and would have soon been married 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Alice a son John R. (Bob) Caldwell and a son-on-law Leslie James. Glenn loved life and loved his large extended family.

Services will be 10:00AM Monday, July 11, 2011 at Goddard United Methodist Church will burial at Coop Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas

He is survived by his wife Dorcie of the home, a daughter Glenda Jones and her husband Joe of Talihina, OK; two sons, John Dill and his wife Patricia of Witcherville, AR and James Dill and his wife Beverly of Fort Smith, AR; a daughter-in-law Hilda Caldwell of Fort Smith, AR; three brother-in-laws, Dale Pogue of Rockport of Texas, Powell Pogue of Little Rock, AR and Herschel Garner of Rison, AR; a sister-in-law Velda Barnard and her husband Paul of Little Rock, AR; thirteen grandchildren, Mark Caldwell, Steve and Keith Patterson, Matt and Jamie Dill, Carolyn Furr, Beth Wallen, Julie Massey, Nina Morgan, Karen Hill, Debbie Green, Yolanda Parnell and Suzanne Kubala; 32 great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren and a host of friends and caregivers.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
