Goodland—Dorothy M. Laffoon, 78, formerly of Kentland, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000, in her residence.
She was born April 18, 1922, in Rensselaer, and had resided in Goodland for a year, coming from Kentland. For five years she was a dietitian at Kentland Nursing Home.
She was married to Charles W. Laffoon, and he died in August 1986 in Lafayette.
Mrs. Laffoon's hobbies included sewing, cooking and baking.
Surviving are four sons, Chuck Laffoon (wife: Vicki) of Morocco, Ind., Don Laffoon (wife: Mary) of Kentland, David Laffoon ( wife: Debra) of Goodland, and Roger Laffoon (wife: Laura) of Raub; two daughters, Christine Senesac and Diane Voris ( husband: Chuck) both of Kentland; a brother Harry Turner (wife: Norma) of Mount Ayr; and two sisters, Ruth Schrader (husband: Al) of Belleville, Ill., and Bea Olinger of Marion.
