Lola Pearl Arbogast Lindsay Hamrick, 78, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center.
She was born March 27, 1926, a daughter of the late James Bernard Arbogast and Nancy Jane Channell Arbogast.
She was twice married, first in 1943 to Virgil Lindsay and second in 1970 to Norman Hamrick, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by six sons, Willie Lindsay and wife, Patricia, of Beverly, Robert Lindsay and wife, Shirley, and Stanley Lindsay and wife, Phyllis, all of Valley Head, Thomas Lindsay of Beverly, Billie Lindsay and wife, Francis, of Huttonsville, and John Lindsay and wife, Margaret, of Mill Creek; six daughters, Louise Croston of Mill Creek, Junie Sharp and husband, Jackie, Judy Arbogast and husband, Roger, Ruby Lindsay and Della Brown and husband, Don, all of Valley Head, and Darlene Thompson and husband, Michael, of Huttonsville; one sister, Gail Bennett, 17 grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two grandsons, six brothers, six sisters and one great-grandchild.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Point Mountain Church at Monterville.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Tuesday, she will be moved to the Point Mountain Church for visitation from noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev Marshall Williams will officiate and interment will follow in the Valley Head Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1410 Crim Ave., Belington, W.Va. 26250 in memory of Mrs. Hamrick. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Lola Pearl Arbogast Lindsay Hamrick.
