James Paul Lofgren ,Sr. 68, of Salisbury , Maryland died Wednesday April 28, 2010, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, of lung cancer. He was diagnosed in November 2008.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA , he was the son of the late Leonard Elmer and Anna Kmetz Lofgren.
Jim was member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church ,as a child he attended school at St Francis de Sales Catholic School, he graduated in June 1960 from Wicomico Sr. High School. He was a retired machinist, after 40 years with Dresser Wayne Industries. He loved gardening and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years , Rosemary Mumford Lofgren, four daughters Teresa Biegler (husband Shawn) of Shenandoah , VA, Rose Annette Parsons (husband Michael) of Salisbury , MD., Catherine (Cathy) Lofgren of Greeneville, TN.,and Angela Dawson (husband Robert) of N. Wilkesboro , N.C.; two sons James Paul Lofgren , Jr. of Lenoir , N.C. and Gregory (Greg) Lofgren (wife Melissa) of N. Wilkesboro, N.C..; 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren , and several neices and nephews.
A graveside memorial will be held Saturday May 1 at 1:30 PM in Springhill Memorial Gardens near Hebron.
