Funeral services for Pinkney N Townsend, 85, were held Wednesday morning in the Plummer-Fair Chapel with Rev Virgil Thompson officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Memories.
He was born in Columbus and had lived here for 40 years. He was a member of the Oak Park Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 2907 Legion Drive; one daughter, Miss Doris Townsend of Houston and one sister, Mrs Anna Kinsel of San Antonio.
