Born in Salt Lake City on November 12, 1929 to Anne Cannon Winder and John Rex Winder. Phil worked at Winder Dairy for over sixty years. He married the love of his life, Madeleine Tuft, in 1953. They were happily married for over fifty-seven years.
Phil was deeply devoted to his family and loved having fun times with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was kind, generous, considerate, and had an amazing sense of humor. We will miss him terribly and love him so much.
Preceded in death by his parents, and siblings John, Charles, Anne, and Helen. Survived by his beloved wife Madeleine, brother Pete, children Paul, Roger (Kim), Mary (Shawn), Brent (Monica), and Emily (Jason), fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Phillip's honor at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray).
