CUMBERLAND,MARYLAND -- K. Albert Wolfe, 94, of Cumberland, died May 5, 2001, at his son's residence in Chevy Chase.

Born on March 6, 1907, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Kinsey Audrey Wolfe and Jenny (Dixon) Wolfe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette R. (Flanagan) Wolfe on Dec. 28, 1981.

Mr. Wolfe was a 1928 graduate of Allegany High School, where he served as class president. He attended William and Mary College.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Wolfe was retired from the B&O Railroad, where he was a pipefitter.

He was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church, Ft. Cumberland Lodge #211 A.F. & A.M., 32nd degree, Cumberland Scottish Rite Bodies, Ali Ghan Shrine, Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department, Cumberland Outdoor Club Aerie #245, F.O.E., Lodge #271, L.O.O.M., Ft. Cumberland Post #13, American Legion, and a member and past Commander of Knobley Mt. Post #136, American Legion.

Survivors include his son, Ted. A. Wolfe, with whom he had resided in Chevy Chase, and a niece, Sally McGreevy, Tucson, Ariz. A private graveside service was held at St. Patrick's Cemetery.

The Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, was in charge of the arrangements.
