Toney L. Polivick, 89, a resident of Bardwell, died Thursday morning, May 29, at the Veterans Administration hospital in Marion, Ill.

Polivick, a veteran of World War I, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Polivick and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Clara Goad Polivick.

He was a retired farmer and member of the American Legion.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Milner Funeral Home in Bardwell, with Paul Geveden officiating. Burial was in the Bardwell Cemetery.

Surviving are three daughters, Evelyn Thomas of Cunningham, Rosella Goode of Bardwell, and Barbara Polivick of Bardwell; a son Herschel Polivick of Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren, including Melita Nikitaras of Bardwell; two brothers, Lucian Polivick of Blandville, and Earl Polivick of Bardwell; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
