Jennie Elizabeth Wiff was born to parents Minnie and James Martin,, December 27, 1900, at Ono, Wisconsin. Her childhood was spent on her parent's farm until she was of college age. Then she attended the state college of River Falls. She taught school at the old Kay School in Martell and later at Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, she was united in marriage to Carl C. Wiff at Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, June 7, 1924.

Five children blessed this marriage: Shirley, Mrs. Russell Schutt, Kerkhoen, MN., Ellen, Mrs. Harold Evenson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Charles Wiff of Martell; Susan, Mrs. Harley Slaikeu, of Ellsworth, and Thomas of Martell.

Mrs. Wiff enjoyed a life-long membership in the Methodist church, joining the church (New Centerville) at the time of her marriage. She took an active part in Sunday School work in her younger years, and was presently active in Homemakers and Farm Bureau organizations and was presently president of the New Centerville W.S.C.S. Travel and her home were her hobbies, being an active gardener and flower grower besides farm chores.

Jennie Wiff enjoyed being a grandmother to 12 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. Besides her husband Carl, her five children and 17 grandchildren, she leaves to mourn, her two brothers, Frank Martin on Ono, Wisconsin and Worthy Martin of West Allis, Wisconsin and a sister, Mrs. Rilla (Vernon) Davis. Her passing occurred at the Baldwin Memorial Hospital on November 20, 1964.

A successful wife and mother, she leaves a proud heritage, known and loved by a wide circle of relatives and friends. Jennie E. Wiff leaves to them many cherished memories. She and the family wish to express their gratitude and thoughtfulness and expressions of friendship and love shown her by so many of you during her illness.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 24, 1964 at the New Centerville Methodist Church, Rev. H.K. Sailor and Rev. Mrs. Nulton officiating. Interment was made into the Martell Methodist Church cemetery, Casket bearers were Velmo Nelson, Lambert Nelson, John Wiff, David Wiff, Donald Rudesill and Harley Rudesill.

Arrangements were by the Skari Funeral Home of Baldwin.
