Esther H. Beelow, 99
Esther H. Beelow, age 99, formerly of Waldorf, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at the Parkview Care Center in Wells, on the eve of her 100th birthday.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf, with Pastor Michael Mathews officiating.
Interment will be at First Lutheran Cemetery in Waldorf.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Esther H. Beelow, the daughter of Robert and Adele (Kohloff) Beske, was born March 28, 1901, in Danville Township, Blue Earth County. She was baptized and later confirmed on October 25, 1914, at Zoar Evangelical and Reformed Church in Vivian Township, Waseca County. She received her education in the rural Blue Earth country schools. She married John E. Beelow on November 9, 1926 at Zoar Evangelical and Reformed Church. Esther spent most of her married life in Waldorf. The last eight years, she had been a resident at the Parkview Care Center in Wells.
She is survived by two daughters, Thelma Scheer, and her husband, Robert, of Waldorf; Beulah Ewald, and her husband, Lyle of Waldorf; six grandsons, Mark Schweer and his wife, Sherri, of San Diego, Calif., Scott Schweer, and his wife. Lori, of Minnesota Lake; Dale Schweer, and his wife, Pamela, of Waldorf; Kynn Ewald, of Waldorf; Guy Ewald, of Waldorf; Jay Ewald, and his wife, Kathryn, of Chile; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marlin Beske, of Washington state, and Harry Beske, of Minnesota Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on November 9, 1984 (their 58th wedding anniversary), and eleven brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells.
